The latest budget smartphone, Honor 8C goes on sale today i.e. December 10 via Amazon and Hi-honor Store. With the launch of Honor 8C, the company has to compete against brands like Xiaomi, Realme 2 etc.

Honor 8C Review

Honor 8C sports a 6.3-inch HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) display with a notch and a chin. It is one of the first smartphones to have Snapdragon 632 Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes in two variants in terms of storage; 4GB RAM+32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage. It supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 512GB.

Most of the mid-range smartphones are either made of metal or glass back but Honor came up with a plastic casing for the smartphone. Plastic casing also looks good, all thanks to the gradient colors(Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, Platinum Gold, and Nebula Purple) with matte finish.

On the part of connectivity, The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2 LE with aptX, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor 8C Camera: When it comes to the camera, it features a 13-MP + 2-MP lens on the rear panel of the device. The dual rear camera is vertically placed along with LED flashlight and AI. Whereas, the front camera sports an 8-MP camera lens. The daylight pictures are satisfactory than the low-light photographs.

Great Batter Endurance:The smartphone is backed by 4000mAh with a USB 2.0 port for connectivity and charging.

Honor 8C Price: The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 11,999 in India for the 4GB RAM + 32GB variant. On the other hand, The device with 64 GB storage comes at a price of Rs. 12,999. It is cheaper than Redmi Note 6 Pro which costs Rs. 13,999.

To recall, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched with a 5,000mAh battery, full-screen display, and dual-rear cameras that too at a price lesser than recently launched Honor 8C. Honor 8C is a good option, but it could have been more better if it was priced under Rs. 10,000

Pros
Well Built design and display, Great Battery Endurance, Large-screen IPS display
Cons
Selfie camera could have been better, Display resolution limited to HD+
Summary
Honor 8C has a large 6.27-inch FullView IPS display but limited to HD+ is powered by Snapdragon 632 processor. The daylight photography is satisfactory but it is not in the same lowlight. All in all, it is one of the good options for those who are looking for a smartphone under Rs. 15,000.
