BSNL 4G Networks benchmark for high-speed wireless communication
BSNL 4G Networks: The telecom company expects the resultant 4G launching on long-term Evolution course (a benchmark for high-speed wireless communication) enables its cellular customers to appreciate faster data speeds and boost its consumer experience.
“We will start 4G out of Kerala. That is our initial circle on 4G LTE. We’ll initially concentrate on these regions where 3G coverage is reduced,” BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Shrivastava told PTI.
This will be accompanied by Odisha, a sales positive circle for BSNL, he added.
The state-owned telco – that competes with operators such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Jio that currently have a proven 4G footprint – anticipates the 5MHz spectrum it now has at the 2100MHz group to be adequate for the first launch of its 4G services.
However, to enlarge the 4G support to a remainder of the nation, BSNL will need additional spectrum.
For this, BSNL is looking for another 5MHz spectrum at the 2100MHz group, which it needs to finance by providing additional equity into its own promoter, the authorities.
“After the extra 5MHz spectrum comes to us, we’ll begin rolling out in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and other areas. Hence that the system will end up 2G, 3G, and 4G with improved data capacity,” Shrivastava added.
When the extra spectrum comes in, this amount will grow, he added.
The business intends to have another brand identity for 4G solutions, Shrivastava said, adding it’s going to be declared at the time of rollout of providers.
