For the Price of Rs. 11,499, the Nokia 3.1 Plus has many competitors ahead.
HMD Global, the company that holds the license to manufacture phones under the iconic brand, has launched a new device in India today. In an event held in Delhi, Nokia has launched the new Nokia 3.1 Plus. The phone has been launched for the price of Rs. 11,499 and will be available starting 18th October. The phone features a 6 inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and very slim bezels on the top and the bottom. The resolution is set at 720 x 1,440px. The phone is made entirely out of aluminium with plastic inserts at the top and bottom.
The phone is powered by the Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of Internal storage of 32GB. The phone is available in 3 colours, a blue variant which we got to see, a white one and there is a black variant as well. The cameras are a dual setup on the rear with a 13MP sensor combined with a depth sensor for portrait shots. The front snapper is a single 8MP one. The phone is fueled by a 3500mAh battery which according to Nokia, should last you around 2 days. The phone runs on a clean build of Android and is Android One certified just like other Nokia phones launched this year. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is a disappointment considering Pie is out and Nokia is so quick with updates. But an update to Android Pie is scheduled soon, probably end of next month.
The phone is also Android Enterprise recommended, which means that the phone offers great security features at the price. Nokia 3.1 Plus continues the Nokia legacy of well-built phones with great software and fast updates. There also seems a 2GB/16GB model in the pipeline, but its availability isn’t known yet. Overall, The Nokia 3.1 Plus seems like a good package and will compete with the likes of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Nokia’s own 5.1 Plus and the Redmi 6 Pro. We will post our hands on to tell you how well the device holds up in todays market.
